New Dog!!!

So I got a new dog about 2 weeks ago!  This was totally unplanned and just sorta happened!  I love pugs and have wanted one for several years now!  And The Boyfriend and I have been thinking about getting a 2nd dog, but our plan was that we wouldn't even start looking until November.  We just had too much going on before then!  

But the rescue I volunteer at got in a male, black pug.  He's 7 years old, neutered, no health problems, great with other dogs, quiet, friendly and adorable!  He seemed like a good fit for us and so I started playing with him and just fell in love!  So we adopted him!

He's a great fit in our home!  He and Rosie get along so well!  And he has really bonded with me!

We've named him Fernando!



He's sleeping at my feet snoring right now!  Precious!  


I've been planning a 10 day October trip to Martha's Vineyard with my parents for awhile now.  They're bringing Jack.  They invited The Boyfriend and Rosie to come too, but he couldn't get the time off work.  And I didn't want to bring Rosie if he wasn't coming.  She's quite a handful!  Plus she doesn't like unfamiliar places, so she'd be much happier staying at home with The Boyfriend where she's comfortable.  

But since I got Fernando, I decided to bring him along!  He's a lot more easy-going than Rosie!  He doesn't care where he is as long as he's with me.  Where as Rosie doesn't really care who is with her as long as she's in her home!

It's going to be a looong car ride with the 2 dogs!  But hopefully it will be a fun trip!

We're leaving tomorrow!!!  I will have my laptop and internet where we're going so I'll be able to be active here on dA... but I probably won't be as active as I regularly am since I'll be on vacation!
