New Bed And Puppy Bowl!

I can't believe January is coming to an end soon!  This month has just flown by!  Lost starts again in a week!  I am so excited!

The Boyfriend and I got a new bed over the weekend!  Our old bed was fine, we just wanted something bigger.  Especially now that Rosie has started sleeping in the bed.  (She used to sleep in her crate.  We've always allowed her to sleep in the bed... she just never chose to until recently!)  So we went to buy a mattress, and the mattress salesman kept trying to sell us $3,000 mattresses!  Really?  Do a couple of young 20-somethings look like we can afford a $3,000 mattress?  That's like 5 months rent for us!  Then the salesman started telling us about the different financing and payment plans they had available.  Yeah... we both are currently working towards paying off student loans...  We're not going to put ourselves further into debt over a mattress.  We did eventually work our way over to the "Value Wall" at the mattress store and got ourselves a mattress that is significantly more affordable!  

The new bed is nice!  We bought some pretty brown and gold sheets/bedding for it!  So it looks pretty and is comfy!  And Rosie likes it!  (She doesn't do well with change, and we were worried she might be afraid of it.  But nope, she jumped right in!)


So the Super Bowl is in a couple weeks!  (I'm rooting for the Colts if anyone is curious.)  I am very much looking forward to watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet that day!  I am especially excited because this year's Puppy Bowl will have bunny cheerleaders and a blimp with a hamster crew!  All the animals in the Puppy Bowl come from different shelters and rescues in the country.  This year the bunnies are from Bunny Lu Adoptions in Virginia and the hamsters are from the Humane League of Lancaster County in Pennsylvania!  It's really nice to see rescue animals that aren't dogs and cats featured since most people aren't even aware of the fact that you can adopt a rescue hamster!


Not too much else is going on!  I filed my taxes this week so now I just have to sit back and wait for my refund!  That's about it really.  I hope all of you are doing well!
