If they get enough votes, they get $10,000! Palisades is the rescue group my boyfriend and I adopted our new dog Rosie from. And the foster mom of the mouse I adopted helps run Palisades!

They could really use the money! They recently took in a very sweet dog who needs a lot of expensive medical care. He's heartworm positive, and his teeth are worn down from eating rocks because he was starving.

They're a wonderful group, and they really help out so many animals! Besides rescuing and adopting out homeless animals, they also run a cat sanctuary in Florida. This sanctuary is home to cats that they've rescued that were unadoptable for whatever reason (either they were too shy at adoption events, had too many medical problems, or just spent years trying to find a home).

Besides rescuing animals and finding them new loving homes, they also work on community outreach programs to help as many animals in the community in any way that they can. One of their programs is a feral cat program where they provide support for colony caretakers and trap-neuter-release services. They also help with lowcost spay/neuter programs.
