So tonight is my last night here.  The couple I'm house sitting for come back tomorrow night.  I'm just starting to get used to it here!  It's going to be weird going back home!

So I was locked in the house the other day!  It couldn't get out!  It was scary!  I woke up, did my normal morning routine, then I went to take the dog out and I couldn't turn the deadbolt lock!  It was stuck!  And there's only one door to the house!  There's a sliding door on the side, but there's big block of wood wedged tightly it the doorway so the door can't be opened (so no one can break in).  So I called my dad, and he brought a bunch of tools and drove out here.  I handed him the key through the doggie door, and he tried to unlock it from the outside.  It still wouldn't budge.  He said he thought the lock was broken and that it would have to be removed.  So he handed me a screwdriver through the doggie door and told me to unscrew it.  Problem was the knob that you turn to unlock the deadbolt was covering up the screws.  And that knob wouldn't budge.

So my dad wanted to come inside to see if he could take a look at the lock from the inside.  We tried to open up a window for him to climb through, but all of the windows were sealed shut and couldn't be opened.  So finally my dad handed me a hammer through the doggie door, and I removed the wood block that was wedged in the sliding door.  So my dad was able to get inside.  And he got some pliers to move the knob so he could remove the screws.  And when he moved the knob, the door came unlocked!

It wasn't broken at all!  It had just gotten stuck!  I have no idea how!  But now it locks and unlocks just fine now!  And my dad wedged the block of wood back in the sliding door.  So everything is all back to normal!  But the whole event was quite an ordeal!

I bought a laptop cooling tray!  My laptop has been having overheating problems since I got it!  More than once it has completely shut down from overheating!  But this tray is fantastic!  It works so well!  It plugs into the USB port and it has a fan that blows keeping the laptop cool!  It's fantastic!  And it's pretty comfortable!  It's so nice not to burn my hand when I touch the bottom of my laptop after I've been using it for a long time!

So that's all that's been going on with me lately.  I'm shooting a wedding in Virginia this weekend.  So that should be fun!

Rosie's doing much better!  She's back to her old energetic self!  And she seems to be adjusting pretty well.  She's gaining a lot of confidence and seems to be getting used to the apartment.

My dad's birthday is a week from Thursday!  Yikes!  I have no idea what to get him!

Awwww....... at least you are okay now. Aren't you glad to have your father!!! What would you do without him? I have done that, call my father whenever I needed something! He have the extra key to get in my apartment to make sure I am okay and to feed my cat when I am away for few days.
