I haven't been active on dA in MONTHS!  I needed a break from this site.  But now I'm back and ready to be active again!  

I've been on vacation this past week.  I went to the NC mountains with my parents, my boyfriend, and all our dogs!  We had a good time!  Mostly did a lot of relaxing and doing nothing!  Exactly what a vacation is for!  

While we were there, my boyfriend and I went and saw Jonathan Coulton in concert for the third time!



This time he was opening for They Might Be Giants.  It was our first time seeing him perform with his band, so that was pretty cool!  But the coolest part was I got to meet Jonathan Coulton after his show!!!!  So awesome!  And he commented on my shirt!!!  (I was wearing a First of May shirt... which First of May is my absolute favorite JoCo song!!!)  Yeah, that was really exciting!  I got a signed copy of Artificial Heart... so now my boyfriend and I each have our own autographed copies of Artificial Heart because we are major nerds.  Haha, anyway, yeah, it was a really great show!  And I got to meet JoCo!  

Speaking of They Might Be Giants, a couple months ago the band held a contest where fans could make a music video for their new single "Can't Keep Johnny Down"  The winning video would be their official music video and the winner would get $1,000 and a pizza.  My brother and some of his friends made a music video and entered it... AND THEY WON!!!!!!!!!

My brother is actually in the video!  He's the guy with the glasses and beard reading at the pool that gets splashed.  

So yeah, super awesome!  My brother and friends actually have a bit of music video experience prior to this.  They made the official music video for MC Frontalot's "Zero Day"  [link](My brother is in that video too!  He plays the robot!  And he's also one of the guys standing around on the street in the video.)


So yeah, not too much else has been going on while I've been away.  I've been working a lot.  I celebrated my 7th dAnniversary back in July!  Crazy!  

Again, I'm very sorry for the long absence!  But I'm happy to be back and active here on dA!  So expect lots of pictures from me soon!
